Full price offfer on our condo!

The way things work in the US,  buyers have a 21 day time period to get out of it but our realtor will be finding back up offers. Well, fingers crossed.

Here is the listing with the new photos. I've added the photos to the blog I made about the condo,

Appropriately, it's pouring rain today in Vancouver!

Photos of our condo in Palm Springs

View from out our back door when the sun is setting.  I will never get over loving sunsets and taking photos of them.  How many have I taken from our balcony in Vancouver….how many will I take in the future!!!

Out "front yard" with an orange tree and an olive tree…just like in the south of France.  And with the Palm trees and adobe roofs,  it makes it even more like the south of France but somehow even better because it is the desert as well.  A landscape we have come to love.

Our "small pool" and hot tub just steps outside our back door.  There are 7 pools and hot tubs.  Two large pools…one just across the street.  And my beloved San Jacinto Mountains.  I never tire of seeing them and all the other mountains in the area.  One day I'll actually capture painting them...

Front patio with our fountain that was there when we rented this condo in 2007 for two months and our tangerine orange tree that is still bearing lots of fruit. Update: We cut it down...too much or a probelm for the gutters.

These are original Danish modern chairs that were left when we bought the condo.  I was really pleased with the covering I chose in the end especially after going dizzy after looking at so many patterns.  The lamp was also left and the side table.  It was maple before I painted it.

And this is also a good view of my blue carpet….I wanted to feel like I was putting my toes into the Mediterranean.

This table and lamp were here as well.  Table was maple before I painted it.  We bought the leather chair and sofa at The Alley.

And the first view of my Mondrian inspired table!  It was a lot of fiddly work but I just love the result.  This started out as medium oak before I painted it.   I love it!

Another view.
KItchen.  I love the cement counters and would never change them.  They were apparently a major upgrade.

I just had to have this Matisse…just fit into everything. It means a lot to use since because of the Matisse connection to the south of France and also a villa we rented for four months in our wonderful little village of Carqueiranne in 2005 when Jim was teaching at the University of Toulon had a print of this painting on the wall. We came to love it.

Hallway with mirror, side table,  and hutch that were left.  The lamp base is actually the Eiffel Tower.  We bought the dining room suite.  We had lots of experience when renting with glass and I really hated keeping it clean and felt it was rather cold.  We have six chairs and an extra leaf so can seat eight comfortably.

The den.  Sofa and recliner were left.  We bought the desk, chair,  lamp, bookcase (which is already full!)  The wall colour is Benjamin Moore "Sangria" or "Mary's Red" as I like to call it.  She helped me choose it for our house in Victoria for the living room and it was a colour we both just loved.

So many wonderful sunsets.

We just love our gas fireplace and use it a lot in the evening when it gets cool for most months and also in the morning to take the chill off.  The absolutely wonderful thing about the desert is the feature of cooling off at night.

The little teak end  table was left along with another one.  I was really pleased to find a Mondrian inspired cushion.  Everything is available on the Internet!

I painted the "Poitus" boats…just seemed to fit.

Front patio.

Master bedroom.  Both bedrooms have King size beds that are completely to our taste.  One of the worst things about renting was always the beds.  In both bedrooms we kept the bedroom furniture that was left.  It's great to having ceiling fans in every room as well as we don't really like air conditioning that much but great to have it if we need it.  We almost never use it.

Master bath.
We always bought traditional houses that were all about being "enclosed".  I never thought I'd like the "open plan" but we both just love it.  And the vaulted 24 foot ceilings add to it all.  In the end,  it's the house we've like the best of all.

Living room.

Living room.

My south of France cushions with all the things I miss!

Front patio.

Our front door.

Our front yard.

Tennis courts across the street.

Guest bedroom with King size bed.  I painted the "window"…a scene of the beach at Carqueiranne.

Guest bedroom.

Hallway and dining area.

Den.

Back patio.

Kitchen.  More counter space than I've ever had and there is a huge pantry to boot!

Front entrance.

And it's great to have a double garage with laundry and lots of storage.  We've never had so much storage…not that we really need it.

We didn't make many changes this year.  We did add some posters….south of France theme of course…what else?  And we got our bikes just at the end of last season down here.  Our knees are much better but I'm still a bit hesitant about my knee so I didn't do any biking this year.

Elaine gave us this great cushion of the Eiffel tower….goes perfectly beside my Eiffel Tower lamp.

And our new purple carpets in the bedrooms....love them!
